FORMER SOUTH AFRICAN DEPUTY PRESIDENT CALLS ON MINISTER CHAUMIERE



The former deputy president of the Republic of South Africa, Mrs. Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka called on Minister Jean-François Chaumière on Tuesday, 02 February 2010. Mrs. Mlambo-Ngcuka was in Mauritius for a private visit. Minister Chaumière and Mrs. Mlambo-Ngucka have had the opportunity to collaborate on various occasions since the latter was Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry for South Africa from 1996 - 1999.
The former South-African deputy president has had a long career, namely in the fields of education as she holds an MPhil in Educational Planning and Policy. She was also Minister of Arts, Culture, Science and Technology in 2004, and Minister of Minerals and Energy from 1999 to 2005.
